Here is project: Patina'd
I knew it was going to have to come down a long ways to even remotely look lowered. Since I knew I wasn't going to go with 5 lug disc in the front for awhile, I needed to find a good way to get it down. Since they don't make aftermarket drop spindles for drum brakes, I went with a JDM tubular lower control arm with a 3" lowered spring pocket. They say to use a max of a 2" lowering spring and they mean it. I started with a 3" and it was too much.....no alignment left. I will say that these give a great ride for the amount they dropped the truck.
Once again....I did nothing to the underside of the truck because this is a total driver and I wanted to stay consistantly dirty through out!!! LOL
I had to remove the bump stop and really cut down the turn limiter because they were hitting the upper spring pocket. The turn limiter was really over-built in my opinion. The truck does not bottom out at all thanks to stout KYB shocks.
