The kickpanel vent works in connection with the one under the cowl. When in fan, heat or outside air for A/C that vent will remain closed and the cowl vent open for fresh air. When recirc mode in A/C is selected the kickpanel will open and the cowl will close allowing the system to draw air from there. There is no manual operation available of the right vent on A/C equiped trucks.
