Since you are doing the body work now, I would WELD IN the screws, so that you end up with "studs" on the inside of the door! grind the outside smooth and proceed on with your filler, primer, and blocking.
Only 104 degrees here this week, load up the trailer and come to Texas!! LOL.
Looking good, don't rush the prep. 100% of a good finish is the prep.

Thanx Heater63.....I thought of welding in something, BUT.....I've already painted the interior
......my thoughts are that the mounting is basically a triangle shape so it
should be stable with only the 2 lowest screws. I will cover them with a speaker pod/contraption yet to be conceived. I dont like to second guess the manufacturer, but hey, it wouldnt be a hotrod if it was stock!!!
The biggest problem with welding in the screws is that I dont know how I would rotate the entire power window assembly inside the door to tighten them
. If you put studs on them, then you end up with nuts on the door.
This may be hard to visualize....I will post more pics of them when I get time.
