When you engage the transfercase, the automatic hubs have a spring in them, the torque compress's the spring and locks them in. While the truck won't be a trailer queen, about the only time I ever see myself using 4wd is in the snow. Call me lazy, but I had these hubs on an 87 blazer and I loved them!
