I'm in the same position. Got a '69 stepside with the spare tire cut out that I'd love to get rid of. Having 6-lug rims with 30" meats on the back and 5-lug rims and 27" meats just doesn't make it easy to carry a spare. I'd have to make a cut out on the other side. I talked to a body shop and he said he could form some metal to cover it up, I may have to go that route. Unfortunately, just popping the bond and flipping it over won't work. The contours are different.
