When your looking for a good 6.2 to use i was told to remove the radiator cap with it running and check for air bubbles. The starting is a big part of motor condition, If it got eithered even just a little bit, it could be to low on compression to start, the low compression motor can still run well once started (like my donor motor, which is why i didn't do the swap). The glowplug controllers are crap, someone on Dieselplace.com said blowing a hair dryer down the throttle body works as well better than the glowplugs, Good luck on finding one and i hope it went better than my search.
