Re: 3/4 vs 1/2 ton frames
From all of the research I've done, the 1/2 ton vs. 3/4 ton frame differences are very minor. One website says they're the same, the next says a 3/4 is a bit thicker, but I haven't been able to confirm this. I've also read that the lengths are different between GMC and Chevy frames - again, I cant confirm this.
And just because it is a long bed does NOT mean it's a 3/4 ton! I have a 1/2 ton long bed.
