A little more pre assembley today, checked main and rod bearing measurements. The LS based engines use a torque angle method for setting bolt stretch and requires a special guage to do this with. Luckily one was found locally, actually pretty neat setup.

Also, the machine shop called me, said they will not be able to install the reluctor ring Requires a special indexing tool to locate the ring on the crank. I am not sure what I am going to do here, Goodson sells one but it's near $200 for one time use. I am going to think about what I want to do with this, an alternative can be home made I am sure.
