I agree the engine is setting too high in the 4X4. Look at the A/C vacuum can on my truck, and see how close it is to the valve cover. It looks like the P.O. had to remove it for clearance. BTW- that bracket that goes around the upper radiator hose is for an AIR (smog) pump. V-6's in 1500's with manual transmissions sometimes came with them.
