I put a 6 inch lift on my 1979 short bed K-15, and it really sits off of the tires.. Knowing what I know now, I would of gotten some bigger boggers(35's) or a 4 inch lift kit..

Had to extend the brake lines, and put the arm on my drivers side knuckle...
