I spoke to Early Classics yesterday to ask where they had the mounts they used on their truck project (see their 68 Restoration part 4) and the ones they made for Copperhead. They said that those were done by a family member of employee. From what he described they would not be cost effective to make for anybody else. He did suggest that I could probably just get a 3 1/2 or 4 inch hole cut in that cross member then have a piece of pipe about 1 inch long welded into the hole. He thought that would probably retain the crossmembers integrity. I figured that you could get a 4 inch piece of pipe welded in and run your emergency brake cable inside the pipe and under your exhaust. That is what I am planning on doing. Just have to find someone to weld in the pipe.
