Very wise to be cautious of all claims and try not to buy sight unseen. I will say GM was not in the business to manufacture show vehicles, they built high volume production vehicles and even new, these trucks are not perfect show pieces. Often people see perfectly restored vehicles with nice thick paint on every inch of the vehicle, but this is not the way they came out of the factory. Undercarriage rarely receive a full coat of paint. Within time, the thin paint disengarates and weathers which begins the surface rust phase. Factory paint jobs are not uniform, they are thick in some places and thin in others. In addition, I believe front ends and cargo beds were painted at different times than the cab and are attached together later down the assembly line. Not many apraisers will know what a super super low mileage truck should suppposed to look like since they probably spend a large majority of their time with restorations.
