Can you take a pic of the fender badges? Never seen a set like those.

Regarding the tranny differences, there were two 3 speed manuals used between 67-72 (not counting the overdrive version). The first style used in 67/68 is a non-synchro'd tranny. The second is a synchro'd 3 speed used 69 and up.

They can be identified by the number of bolts on the shift fork cover. the 67/68 version has 4 bolts, the 69-up has 7. The 69-up is a longer tranny too, consequently the driveshafts in 67/68 trucks with this tranny are longer than in the 69-up counterparts.

The one on your red truck looks correct for the year. Your other truck may have had a later version swapped in?
