I'm tempted to do a similar conversion myself. I just got a '72 GMC 1500 and would like to get the tank out of the cabin.
What size is the camaro tank? So did you end up just leave the original tank filler on the driver side cab? Also how close to the exhaust to the tank? I can't quite tell from the pics you provided? I have dual exhaust that may interfere with this type of conversion.
