Wanted a hidden receiver up front so I could slide my winch in when needed and take it off when not needed. Decided to cut a square hole in my front bumper and mount the receiver behind the bumper and weld the receiver tube and bracing in between the frame rails.

Was very happy the way it has turned out. Pictures below. Used a hinged license plate fuel fill frame from an 86 Buick regal to cover the square a cut out with a cutting wheel.

My brother and I bought a 12,000 lb Badlands winch from Harbor Freight and mounted on a cradle that slides in the receiver. Works great.
