jeez, I was just in the contest last month, but mine hauls loads and family. Guess since I am a big time family man (3 kids), I will jump in again.
It seats 8 comfortably (and legally) plus a couple dogs and a whole bunch of luggage. On a trip to Jellystone Campground 2 weeks ago, I clicked over 20,000 miles since I got it road ready in Feb of '10. (it wasn't COMPLETED then, but I was driving it)
My kids love the Burb and I pick them up from school in it all the time. In fact, most people only know me if I am driving it. If I am in my wifes mini-van, I wave at people and they dont even notice. All of my kids friends know it well and I see kids at the store that say "Aren't you Sam's dad" based on their knowledge of the Burb.
The Burb is also practical as a daily driver. It is a '70 body resting on a shortened '99 3/4 ton Suburban chassis. So, the running gear drives smooth and it has power steering, power brakes (front disc/rear drum), fuel injection and a variety of other mods to make it comfortable. Plus, it'll easily tow 10,000 lbs (but that only mattered last month-
) It has the leather interior from a '05 Suburban.
