Good tires and plenty of weight and you'll be fine. Make sure you wash it all out thoroughly up under the truck rockers,cab corners,inside the door drains,and over the wheel arches as an attempt to slow rusting.

You can raise it 2" w/o any problems with front end alignment. C/30 springs will about do it. You can swap a complete a-arm assembly from an 88-98. Fab-Tec used to,and may still,make long travel a-arms and raised spindles.
