Lowering compression is easy enough to do if you are worried about it. Thicker head gaskets, a little porting, etc. But people have been turbo-ing stock motors with a higher than ideal compression for years. Just depends how much boost you are running and then timing. Cam timing can also be adjusted to help with that.

EFI is the way to go man. Carbs are great for daily drivers, but let them sit too much and its a PITA. I get by with a cheap old used set up, but would have prefered one of the new FAST systems. Just didn't have the $1700-2000 it takes to get one at the time. And I just have an old 283 in my truck, so it works until I go with something newer bigger and badder.

But now you are talking about a lot of work on Havoc again. Going to put off the next project a while so you can spend the winter doing this? Either way is fine by me, I just like to see your work.
