The 205's weak link is the bearing covers and not the internals. Usually they hold up pretty good to gas motors but the diesel guys hate the 205 case. The aluminum bearing covers flex enough to grenade the case. The Cummins guys are easily putting 1000 ftlbs to the ground so the weak links are always found. Same way the NV4500 is considered rock solid by the gas crowd. It likes to drop 5th gear behind a diesel and there are numerous aftermarket repairs/upgrades because of this. A little off topic but good info.
