About 15 years ago I had just bought a 63' Impala and mentioned to the wife that the car plates looked liked sh#t compared to the car, or something to the effect of ....looks like a new pair of sneakers with old shoelaces, she laughed and said "do you want me to paint them? I could make them look a lot better..... remember I paint for a living,
she hasn't stop painting plates and frames since.
