That is a crappy attitude.....the guy has been around for a while and made over 400 posts. Maybe he has more than one vehicle and seeks the help of people who have been trustworthy and dare I say nice?

While I am not at all familiar with the frame you have, my first thought is "boxing". If the frame is the typical C-channel, capping the open area will stiffen it quite a bit. It doesn't have to be everywhere to help. If you cover the suspension pick-up points , it may be enough.
