First Engine Test Fit

Had some fun today. The decision was made to test fit the engine and trans.

We found that the 700r4 trans and factory crossmember will match up to existing holes in the frame with out any need to drill holes. The engine stands were sorted out and bolted to existing holes, with the exception of the bottom stand holes, which we'll drill when we pull the engine back out. No interference between the firewall and distributor and the distributor will drop in. Looks like the drive shaft will need to be shortened about 3 inches. No clearance problems with the Sanderson CC11 headers.

All in all a very good day. So, here's a few pics. You'll notice the engine still has the stock ZZ4 carb manifold. The TPI set up will go on later.
