Great idea! So, I'm guessing that you had to account for the height difference between the front of the center hump and the back before you flipped the legs inward. Also, did you mount the feet directly to the floor? I'm thinking that this may be what I do too.

Do the feet feel pretty safe (as in the weld won't break in a collision)? Should I do a lap joint and plug weld, then stitch weld the joints?

I'm sorry for so many questions; I am a wood-worker, not a metal fabricator. I'm learning thought!
