I prefer under the hood mounting as they were designed to be under the hood. ECM's do quite well outside. In the over the road trucks they have been block mounted for a long time with no issues. Just my thoughts. Here is mine mounted.

That looks great! Looks like you used the Tejas Steelworks mount?
