Still having a difficult time with the pitman arm on the 1989 r series 2wd steering gear. It's making the center link hit/rub the cross member. I'd welded the plate in place and discovered the issue...I cut it back out and double checked the position with the provided template with 3 of my car club buddies and it checks it ok. This is s 63 Suburbdn 2wd.....is there any difference in the c10 truck vs suburban? I've scoured the forum threads and and I'm at a loss! The 89 gear is used because I've done a 5.3 Vortec swap. Please help.
