ah man, I don't miss this stage of the engine you are at. Brake cleaner really works wonders. I use the air hose alot too. I also used a rosebud on a propane tank, would heat the block up, seemed to help. Just gotta keep going back and forth with "cleaners/degreasers" then a brake cleaner and heat and air. Then back and forth. Wire brush, flathead screwdriver and a mix of other tools like your dremel will def help. Yours looks like alot of hours already went into it or it was just a pretty decent start. Mine had clumps of grease all over it. I shoulda got a better candidate.
