Sounds like you may have senders for idiot lights on the 350 where the 6 had senders made for gauges. i do not think there is a difference in the gauges from motor to motor other than the different pressures for the oil pressure which is either a 60lb or 80lb.

Truck has all new wiring, american autowire classic update...wired temp to temp sensor on the driver's side of the block, and the oil pressure is not electric so copper line going from the gauge to the block
