My vote is if the paint is going to be original and kinda beat up, raised steel floor is the way to go. If the truck is eventually going to be painted, gapped perfectly and a show truck, wood floor for sure.

I have been extremely happy with all of the Eastwood products I have used. I have used their Chassis black, under hood black (60% gloss), spray grey (cast iron look for steering boxes, spindles etc...) and alumablast for a cast aluminum look.

If I go with a wood bed floor it will be distressed wood. I have a good buddy who does woodworking for a hobby and he has a ton of reclaimed barn wood. I think some vintage barn wood would look great. I'm leaning towards keeping the steel floor but that is still subject to change

You are 100% right about a new bed wood kit not matching the style of my build. It just wouldn't look right.
