The major problem with this type of fuel tank filler is that it allows some gas to get onto the bed wood. I am going to remove this and put in a billet rectangle door with a regular gas cap under the door. That way if I over fill the tank it will spill onto the tank itself instead of the bed wood. Plus the fact that I will also not have a problem with gas droplets popping out onto the bed wood. I wrap a towel around the area but it still happens. At least that has been my experience.
