hmm that's definitely odd, I've chased similar stuff before but it always was solved with a loose wire or rca. My buddy just replaced an end on his system where the rca was actually the bad contact point and was making the alternator whine through the system. I'm not really sure how you test that other than having to cut out connectors tho..
