Stall converter will not help on the street. my Suburban will run about 2100 at 70
If you want to accelerate, a 700r4 will kick the toque converter out, downshift and haul the mail if need be. The only combination, works awesome. My buddy just installed a 350/700r4 and 3:55 rear in a 40 Ford and loves it.
