I always wondered why there was so much space under the seat frame of the stock 49 bench seat. Looks like a good place to store things like tools maybe? Without the gas tank behind the seat, however, I don't really need the space underneath.
JD I'd try a new seat, but it doesn't sound like I need one to drive and I am only working on things that let me drive it
Looks like a block of wood under the foot for now
