Yeah - you really can't do that.

The last five digits are assigned sequentially but because of other considerations (nameplate, shuffling of vehicles in cab shop, paint and trim) the VIN does not reflect the sequence of vehicles built down the final line.

The General Assembly sequence number would be what you are looking for but is not recorded for posterity (unless you have the actual build sheet or find grease pencil markings that indicate the GA sequence number).
