Sorry to hear that the cable didn't work as you wanted. I'm not sure why it wouldn't work unless there is a difference between a 67 hand cable and a 71 foot cable.
One thing also to look at. Is the cable in the right fire wall hole? If it's not it could make it short. You could even drill a new hole maybe.

After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.
