now you're talkin'! You know what I like? American music with guitar. That's folk, blues, country, rock and roll. I like the less produced music these days. Some of that crap they play on pop stations makes you wonder what they sound like w/o the studio engineers and recording gizmos. Can they all sing? If so, why do they have to sing through voice altering devices? I absolutely hate that crap!
During that period Dickey Betts, Butch Trucks, Jimmy Hall, and Chuck Leavell were touring around (early-80s) I got to hear them outside of Baltimore. It was a night club venue and our table was up front center. This place had "girlie" cocktail waitresses that rivaled a Playboy Club (I'd have to assume). What a great night of fun and good music. Ended up getting our waitress involved after they noticed the fun that was surrounding the table. When they were done playing I got a chance to talk with Dickie for a while. That was a night to remember.

If you don't know who Jimmy Hall is, did you ever hear Wet Willie? They had the hit "Keep On Smilin'".Good southern music. He has more energy than Exxon
