I have an L31-R in my truck and was running a Holley blue pump with a regulator but it was the noisiest pump you ever heard. I switched to a Holley Mighty-Mite about a year ago and it has worked great so far. They come in different fuel pressure ratings, I got the 4 to 7lbs pump. The part number ends in 427 just in case you are interested.
