Re: 47 Door lock cylinders

Cars had locks on both doors. The drivers (left) side is the opposite of the right. Both sides the cover swings up and the shoulder to hold it up is on opposite sides of the cylinder. You could get two right side locks and have one re-keyed to match, but the drivers side cover would swing down. Get a set for a car.
This site lists the cars that use this lock: https://www.oldsobsolete.com/product...embly-1393156/
Here's a pair: https://www.ebay.com/i/302768172794?chn=ps
I recently replaced my right side key cylinder and wanted it to match the back door on my Panel Truck. I got a good used cylinder, dismantled it, and replaced the wafer tumblers to match my old broken cylinder. I used a microscope and tweezers, it was nerve wracking.
