The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network - View Single Post - One hatch support stuck. Can't open the hatch. Any ideas?

Bought this '72 K5 recently. Rear hatch only opens a couple of inches. Finally determined that the passenger side hatch support / prop rod is limiting its travel. Any suggestions? Cant even get to the screws to remove the support rod with it in this position.
