I read your post, read about this port by the choke and just before I opened your pic I thought Ha! I bet he has a hot air choke. And I was right!
You do have a hot air choke and that’s not a vacuum port for your pcv. You need to find a correct place to plug it in. Possibly on the front right or behind the carb.
