Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving.
I haven'y had a lot of time for the truck lately. I did have some time to run an amp draw on the fuel pump and it is constant at idle at aprox. 15.5 amps. I have drive it a couple of time and drive fine.
I dont leave the relay plugged in at this time. I did use 10 ga wire for + and - to the fuel pump, matches the wiring out of the GM fuse/relay panel. I havent ohm'd the wiring yet. or had a chance to check all the wiring for for chafing.
The few times I have driven it maybe the most 30 minute errands and one time I pulled the relay after getting home and with temp gun bottom of relay was 150F.
I think with what happend to the relay and slight damage to the housing due to heat, I'm not sure I can get the terminal out, replaced and secured back in for a nice tight connection. I"m going to replace with a heavier duty relay.
