I don't know about these trucks but I have seen collectable guns go down. Not long ago WWII guns, Winchester lever actions, and Model 12's were sky high for nice examples. They are still valuable, but they sit for sale for a long time and way off their high.
I think vehicles are a little different because multiple generations of people like classic. In guns it is more generation specific I feel. Most younger people would rather have an AR 15 for $700 then a nice lever action for $3000. I don't see this in vehicles.
