I trimmed the original bumpstops on my 74 but was having an issue w/the tires constantly buzzing the tops of the fenderwells. After a while it was getting old, so I got new ones from GM. I haven't trimmed these yet but I might split the difference & see how it works.
Weird thing is I didn't trim the ones on my 68 which sits @ least an inch lower, but it only rubs on 'big' dips @ higher speeds (I used the same methods to lower each & overall tire diameter is similar 215/75/15's vs. 255/45/18's).

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....
Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.
