I could not stop reading this thread after I opened it this afternoon for the first time. From '71 to '73 I was a make-ready man in a Chevrolet dealership. I installed many of the factory accessories you've found (or, I should say I've installed some of those accessories many times!). It brought back many memories. There was a couple of big bins in the parts department full of those GM accessories. If I remember correctly, the 8-track players were called "multiplex" on the box. Fond memories of simpler times! I wish I had a dollar for every dealer-imprinted rear step bumper I hung, mostly by myself, back on the concrete, holding one end up with my foot and the other up with one hand, while I stabbed two bolts with the other hand!
