You might want to price some replacement parts for a 53 54 Chevys Chevy. I think they have king pins and bushing front ends with roller bearing front wheel bearings. They can be pricey. They also have an enclosed drive shaft which is fun to deal with on clutch or trans. removal. But you have a shop with enough tools to overcome any mechanical obstical.

You may going to hot rod it with some new suspension like air bags and later model parts.

I think that with most of these old cars there is some risk in ownership so one just needs to calculate or decide whether it is worth having.


At this point I am still in the grinning madly camp.
