We had just purchased a new Chevelle, with a 454 cu in engine. (I still have it).

I remember how crazy a dollar a gallon sounded. I am still subconsciously stuck on $2 a gallon.

I remember a while back (maybe ten years ago) they were building a new gas station. They were trying out the new electronic display out by the road and put $3.33 a gallon on the sign. It nearly caused a panic!
