Diesel burner, i meant to answer your questions the other day...
I built the crossmember, its, if i remember right is 2x3x 3/16 steel tube with 1/4” side and end plates. The 3” wide tube is almost perfect width for second gen mounts, i bolted the side plates to the mounts first then welded it, the mounts are slightly wider and bolting it first created the proper width, small gap welded up.
I mounted the engine low enough for the turbo to barely (1/4”) clear the factory AC box, also mounted towards driver side too for same reason, had to narrow driver side frame rsil about 1/4” or so before boxing it to enable use of gen 2 mounts.
This put the engine kind of low, crossmember gets close to front diff, 4” lift is rewuired.
Water inlet is 1/3 into frame rail, i did like a reverse C notch in the boxed frame rail for clearance.
