when you first take the hub apart, check to see if the threads are in good shape. Nothing worst then cross threading these retaining nuts

As you can see, the PO didn't have the proper tool, so he just used a punch, damaging the outer locking nut

Not shone, a plate that sits on the bearing, supports the spring for the locking hub
