Re: HD carrier bearing. The odd one.
The original rubber insert is in surprisingly great shape. Only the little dust lip has deteriorated, but it is reusable I think.
Now that carrier half and rubber support sleeve are out of the way, looking at the dust shield and original bearing compared with the new bearing that I took out of the assembled carrier I received, I think they are damn near the same!
I have to run and get a 3" clam shell puller so I can get the original bearing off and check them out side by side.
