Not true. I know where there is a 72 Cheyenne Super C30 402 4 speed all original with a 4:10 HO72. It is an original truck too. I also know of a 72 Sierra Grande C20 402 truck that had 4.10 gears according to the spid. The truck I purchased for the bed and frame was a 402/TH400 and had an Eaton too. I still have the frame and rear axle.

All I know is that most times when a BBC was selected, you got the Dana 60 and 3:54s. My orange truck originally was a C20 402 4 speed and it had a D60 3.54 posi.

I used to think it was a Custom Camper thing but the Cheyenne Super above with the 4.10s is also a Custom Camper.
