A story that's funny now but wasn't then: About 15 years ago I was on a combined family/business trip in St. Augustine, Florida. My wife dropped me off at my meeting in the morning and took my Blazer to go shopping. As she was crossing the 2-lane drawbridge the rear end grenaded - the pinion went through the housing, and there was no way to move the truck. By the time the tow truck arrived, there were lines over a mile long in each direction on the road, and several boats in the water below waiting to pass under the bridge. She laughs about it now, but she didn't think it was too funny then.
